Today was the Queen’s birthday public holiday, so we went to the Perth Royal Show.
I’m a semi-country girl at heart, so I loved it! Lots of animals, exhibitions, and some street theatre thrown in.
We also learned how to wash a chook, and saw racing pigs and a diving pig……!!

We also tasted a lot of food and drink, watched the horse jumping, walked through sideshow alley, and bought a show bag.
Yesterday we went to a Fighting for Alaska gig. They’re an indie-pop group, Pascal knows the bass player.
They were the support for Matt Handley and the Dagger Stares, which we didn’t really like! The other support act, Steve Parkin and the Foreign Films we liked a lot!
They were all playing at the Amplifier Bar, which is behind Club Capitol on Murray St in Perth. It is a very nice venue, and outside courtyard, and then a stage area inside.
