Blackjack, a festival to be held on Thursday 5 April 2007 (Easter weekend) at Claremont Showgrounds, Perth, WA, replaces the end of summer Rock-iT.
The line-up is huge (and partly the line-up of the V Festivals that are being held over east)!
Pixies, Gnarls Barkley, The Living End, Eskimo Joe, The Vines, Birds of Tokyo and Children Collide!!
Online presale tickets are on sale from Heatseeker from Friday 16 February, and after that they go at the outlets from 23 February.
Tickets are $89 + bf, and if there are still tickets available on the day, they will be $100.
It’s on from 2pm to 11pm, it’s all ages with separate licensed bar areas.
Rock-it will apparently be back later in the year.
I can’t believe there’s no ROCKIT! Grr! Living End will be good agen, but the fact its on a Thursday when sum of us still have to work and its at a bigger venue Grr! Its just not the same! We have already made our shirts maybe the last one was truly the last one! Very upset At least they have made another event to kindof compensate

I reckon it sounds like there will be another rock it (or at least something in Arena Joondalup), what with the talk about a special events train station….
But… will just have to wait and see.
Seeing as the V Festival isn’t coming to Perth, I think it’s pretty good they still managed to get the Pixies and Gnarls Barkley to Perth, and they probably didn’t have much choice for the date, and at least most people will have the day off the next day! (a lot of concerts and festival are held during the week too, like Evanescense and Damien Rice tonight, and Good Vibrations on Sunday…)
Anyway, if I was you I’d got to the Heatseeker website and see if you can find an email address. See what they say. And the more people make themselves heard…. you never know what will happen!

Mate do you realise what is happening here, Pixies were never going to to tour again, let alone come to Aus its a dream come true! Id go watch them at 5am on a Monday morning.
Yes, it is definitely worthwhile having a sickie on Thursday to view the amazing Pixies. You will not be disappointed…seen them at Reading Fest 05 – they fkn rock :)
